How to Install & Run Grahamly on Linux

Detailed terminal instructions to make the standalone AppImage executable and launch Grahamly Terminal on your distribution.

1

Right-Click Properties & Enable “Executable as Program”

Easiest / Recommended

Once the download finishes in your Downloads folder, you simply need to grant execution permission:

aRight-click the grahamly-terminal-*.AppImage file and click Properties (or press Ctrl + I).
bUnder permissions, toggle on “Executable as Program” (or check “Allow executing file as program”).
cClose the Properties window and double-click the file to launch Grahamly Terminal!

Toggle on “Executable as Program” to run Grahamly with zero terminal commands.

2

Alternative: Terminal Command (chmod +x)

Is chmod needed? If you already enabled “Executable as Program” in Step 1, you do not need to run this command. Both methods do the exact same thing! This terminal command is provided for developers and power users who prefer the command line.

Open your terminal emulator (Ctrl + Alt + T) in your Downloads folder and run:

$chmod +x *.AppImage && ./*.AppImage
What this command does:
chmod +x *.AppImage: Flags the file as executable (exact CLI equivalent of the GUI toggle).
&& ./*.AppImage: Launches the app immediately in your user space.
3

FUSE Support (Ubuntu 22.04+ / Debian 12)

If you see an error like “dlopen(): error loading libfuse.so.2” on modern Ubuntu or Debian, install the standard FUSE 2 library:

$sudo apt install libfuse2
100% Private — Files Never Leave Your Machine

Grahamly does not log or store any data on terminal. So it's completely private. Because it works locally on your computer to run complex Excel financial models, execute local scripts, and parse private documents, it needs system permissions to operate.
